The name
Ongiri — duty, done and on record.
「義理」 giri is the principle of duty and accountability. It’s the idea at the centre of Ongiri: every action — a shift, an approval, a wage decision, an invoice line — should know its boundaries, do exactly what it’s supposed to, and leave a clear, explainable trail. When something needs to be proven, the proof already exists.
